Established in 1919, Kolkata-headquartered Oxford Bookstore is among the country’s most popular book chains and venues for publishing-related events. Oxford Bookstore curates a number of literary festivals such as the Apeejay Kolkata Literary Festival and the Apeejay Bangla Sahitya Utsob in Kolkata and Aadaab: Celebrating Urdu and the Hindi Sahitya Utsav in New Delhi, which celebrate and promote literature in the languages of English, Bangla, Urdu and Hindi respectively.
