Association of Designers of India
A non-profit organisation that promotes best practices in the design profession
About Association of Designers of India
The Association of Designers of India (ADI) was founded in 2010 after the merger of the Pune Design Foundation and the Association of Industrial Designers of India, Bangalore. A non-profit organisation, it promotes best practices in the design profession by “strengthening and promoting the capabilities of designers as well as by amplifying and presenting a unified voice to influence public policy, shape the industry and benefit the people at large”. Its vision is “to be a world class network representing professional interests of the Indian design community, creating a meaningful interface between design professionals, users of design, education institutions and policymakers”.
The Pune-based association, which has chapters in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Goa, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mumbai and New Delhi, regularly holds conferences, webinars, masterclasses and programmes for students.
ADI currently organises two festivals: the flagship Pune Design Festival and the brand new UX Lighthouse.
