What Design Can Do
After successful editions in São Paulo, Amsterdam, and Mexico City, What Design Can Do (WDCD) Live is set to take place in Delhi at the iconic India Habitat Centre. This highly anticipated event will bring together leading minds in design, innovation, and social change to explore how design can drive a more sustainable future. The festival organised by What Design Can Do in partnership with Unbox Cultural Futures and The Design Village, and supported by Global Methane Hub and The Rockefeller Foundation, will feature performances, workshops, exhibitions, panel discussions, and collaborative sessions with experts, offering a dynamic space for learning and exchange.
The speaker lineup at WDCD includes renowned figures in sustainable design, such as architect and environmentalist Sandeep Virmani (IN), bio-designer and researcher Emma van der Leest (NL), and Kailash Nadh (IN), CTO of Zerodha and founder of Rainmatter Foundation. Also taking the stage are Thomas Rau (NL), an architect and sustainability innovator; Carla Fernández (MX), a fashion designer championing indigenous textile traditions; and Namita Bhatnagar (IN), a pioneer in bio-materials research.

● An after hours for visitors to raise a glass together and close the festivities in style, curated by Eyemyth Media Arts Festival bringing Audio Visual experiences by D-fuse , a UK based art collective and performances, with music by Matthias Kispert and Blanca Regina
How To Reach Delhi
1. By Air: Delhi is well connected by domestic and international flights to all the major cities within and outside India. Almost all the major airlines operate their flights from Indira Gandhi International Airport.
2. By Rail: The railway network connects Delhi to all the major and nearly all the minor destinations in India. The three important railway stations of Delhi are New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station and Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station.
3. By Road: Delhi is well connected by a network of roads and national highways with all the major cities in India. The three major bus stands in Delhi are Inter State Bus Terminus (ISBT) at Kashmiri Gate, Sarai Kale Khan Bus Terminus and Anand Vihar Bus Terminus. Both government and private transport providers run frequent bus services. One can also hire government-run as well as private taxis here.

Tips from the festival: Getting to India Habitat Centre (IHC) in Lodhi Road, New Delhi is quite convenient, as it is well-connected by metro, bus, and other local transport options. By Metro: Nearest Station: Jor Bagh Metro Station (Yellow Line) – 1.5 km from IHC. Take an auto- or walk (15-20 mins) to IHC. Alternative Metro Stations: Khan Market Metro Station (Violet Line) – 2 km away Lodhi Colony (Pink Line) – 3 km away By Bus: Several DTC buses stop near Lodhi Road. The nearest bus stop: Lodhi Road / Indian Habitat Centre Common buses: 502, 894, 450, 534, 181
