Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival
The Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival (AIFF) is an annual festival that seamlessly blends the magic of cinema with the rich cultural heritage of the Marathwada region. Since its inception in 2014, AIFF has rapidly evolved, presenting eight dynamic editions that have redefined the cinematic landscape. Serving as a visionary platform for creativity, cultural exchange and artistic exploration, AIFF brings together luminaries from Indian cinema, including esteemed filmmakers and critics, fostering active participation, meaningful dialogues and a deeper appreciation of the art of filmmaking. Its curated programme includes the Indian Competition section, a retrospective journey through cinematic gems and a vibrant Short Film Competition.
Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival also introduces the prestigious FIPRESCI-India Jury Prize, recognising outstanding films from both the Indian Competition and World Cinema sections. Going beyond conventional boundaries, the festival offers special screenings, engaging seminars, masterclasses and a captivating poster exhibition, all aimed at fostering shared learning and creativity.
