Bikaner Folk and Handicraft Festival
The Bikaner Folk and Handicraft festival spotlights the talents of the Mir community of traditional folk musicians and the artisans of the Usta form of painting and engraving, both of which are resident to the Bikaner district of northwest Rajasthan.
Organised as part of a collaborative initiative of the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and UNESCO to strengthen the Intangible Cultural Heritage of western Rajasthan, the festival provides visitors a chance to meet with Mir musicians and Usta artists and learn about the history and practice of their art and craft forms.
A cultural show was held on both days of the event–16 and 17 November 2022. Folk music vocalist Mir Basu Khan, bhajan singer Jalal Ram Meghwal, Kalbelia dancer Suva Devi, and puppeteers Mukesh Bhatt and Rakesh Bhatt from Jaisalmer were among those who performed.

How to reach Bikaner
1. By Air: Jodhpur Airport is the airport nearest to Bikaner, located around 251 km away from the city. From the airport, you can board a bus or hire a taxi to reach Bikaner.
2. By Rail: The city has two railway stations, Bikaner Junction and Lalgarh Railway Station, located at a distance of 6 km from each other. These two stations connect Bikaner to major Indian cities such as Jodhpur, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.
3. By Road: Bikaner is well connected by a network of roads. Regular buses from New Delhi, Jodhpur, Agra, Ajmer, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Udaipur and Kota are available for Bikaner. You can avail the services of both state-owned government buses or private buses to travel to, in and around the city.
