About Gender Unboxed

Gender Unboxed is organisation that puts together events that present and bring to light characters, stories and performances from the LGBTQIA++ communities within India. It does this in the hope that it will help educate and create awareness in society about love, empathy, acceptance and understanding, especially when it comes to queer, transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming identities. Gender Unboxed also makes films, videos, branded content and documentaries. The organisation’s YouTube channel is a platform with which they share their views and creativity through the original content they produce. Its festival, also called Gender Unboxed, is currently run in collaboration with queer, Muslim and women collectives in India and other South Asian countries.
