About Valley of Words Foundation Trust

A registered charitable trust, the Dehradun-based Valley of Words (VoW) Foundation Trust supports creative expressions across literature and arts festivals, debates, symposia, conversations, book launches, exhibitions, musicals, theatre, and poetry. Its flagship event is the annual Valley of Words festival. Together with the Power Finance Corporation, it curates the annual PFC-VoW Awards that felicitate authors from several genres, such as fiction and non-fiction in both English and Hindi; translations into Hindi and English from regional Indian languages; writing for young adults; and writing/picture books for children.

The Trust also runs two monthly sessions, ‘VoW Connect’, a discussion with an author that is live-streamed on its social media and VoW-Sochcast audio channel; and ‘Authors from the Valley’, an interview with a writer from Dehradun conducted every first Sunday at the VoW café-gallery-studio.
