About Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation
The Directorate of Tourism (DOT) is a body of the Government of Maharashtra and is dedicated to expanding tourism in the state. Established under the Companies Act, 1956, the Directorate of Tourism Maharashtra has been involved in the regular development and maintenance of various tourist locations in Maharashtra. Besides managing numerous resorts and restaurants all across the state, the organisation also offers heritage walks, adventure activities, and aquatic sports, along with interesting tour packages. The Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has supported various cultural activities, such as the Sanskruti Arts Festival, Upvan, Nanded-Hottal and Misal festivals in Maharashtra.
