About Wayanad Literature Festival

The Wayanad Literature Festival is organised by “people who grew up in the hill district of Wayanad, which sits at the tri-junction of Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu”. The organisation has journalist Dr. Vinod K. Jose as its director, and the festival is curated by journalist and author VH Nishad.

WLF works in close collaboration with the Mananthavady Block Panchayat and the Edavaka Grama Panchayat. “Over sixty community leaders work [towards] making WLF truly a participatory event [for] the local people. They include school teachers, farmers, small businessmen, auto rickshaw drivers, porters, and sound engineers.”
